Profile
Broadstrike Herbicide contains the active ingredient Flumetsulam, which has activity on certain broadleaf weeds. Broadstrike is classified as a Group B Herbicide, with an ALS inhibition mode of action, in which weeds cannot grow due to the inhibition of the enzyme Acetolactate Synthase. Flumetsulam belongs to the Sulfonamides chemical group.

Applications
Broadstrike is registered as a spray treatment for post-emergence control of certain broadleaf weeds such as wild turnip, Indian hedge mustard, three-horned bedstraw, amsinkia and turnip weed in winter cereals (including those undersown with clover, lucerne or medics); clover, fenugreek, lathyrus, lucerne, medic and serradella seed crops and pastures; chickpeas, field peas, lentils, maize, peanuts; and for the pre-emergence control of certain broadleaf weeds in maize and soybeans.

Warm conditions greatly improve the activity of Broadstrike. It's highly selective to wheat, triticale and rye and is also registered for use in lentils/chickpeas and field peas. Further details of use can be found in the Direction of Use section on the Product Label.
