Tordon* 242 Cereal Herbicide
Profile
Tordon 242 Cereal Herbicide contains the active ingredients Picloram and MCPA, which have activity on a range of broadleaf weeds. Tordon 242 Cereal is classified as a Group I Herbicide, with a mode of action where the weed cannot grow due to disruption of plant cell growth. Picloram belongs the Pyridines chemical group.
Applications
Tordon 242 is registered as a spray treatment for control of climbing buckwheat, skeleton weed, sorrel, capeweed, doublegee and some other broadleaf weeds in winter cereals and linseed crops. Tordon 242 provides outstanding knockdown and residual control of both climbing buckwheat and common Sowthistle (milk thistle). With the increasing incidence of resistance to Group B herbicides, Tordon 242 (Group I) provides a suitable alternative for use in herbicide resistance strategies. Further details of use can be found in the Direction of Use section on the Product Label.
