We're looking for people like you as Summer Assistants (May - August) in sales and reseach and development. The Solutions Center has opportunities with variable start dates and with terms of up to 12 months.

Sales Assistant
As a Sales Assistant you will become a member of our solutions-focused field sales team which builds and maintains ongoing relationships with both farmer and retailer customers. You will collaborate with customers to identify their needs and recommend solutions that fit those needs. Your responsibilities will include providing sales support for well-known products, and information to introduce new and innovative crop protection and seed products. Your interpersonal skills and communications abilities will aid in reaching a mutual understanding of customer needs that will ensure customer satisfaction and help achieve our primary goal: the success of our customers. Qualifications include: relevant work experience, a desire to learn and background knowledge in agriculture.

Research and Development Assistant
As a Research and Product Development Assistant you will be involved in every aspect of the field research program. You'll locate trial sites, contact co-operators, explain the research that will be done at the site and secure permission to use it. You will apply product, use small farm equipment for site maintenance, and rate the research trials. Strong interpersonal skills and maturity will be required as you become involved with groups touring the trials. These groups include our own sales and research teams, as well as visiting scientists from other parts of the world.

Solutions Center Sales Associate
As a Solutions Center Sales Associate, you will become a member of a highly effective sales team which utilizes leading edge technology to meet customer needs. Your primary responsibilities include providing agronomic solutions to growers and other members of the agri-industry across the Prairies and completing outbound sales calls to strategic customers. Customers will communicate with you by means of phone, fax and e-mail, creating solutions based sales opportunities. Extensive training will be provided. Both training and employment is based at Dow AgroSciences head office in Calgary, Alberta.
