You need the efficacy of a synthetic insecticide but want the environmental and human safety profiles of biologic products (eg Bt). The active ingredient in Success 480 SC, spinosad, is the first of an entirely new and revolutionary class of insect control products called Naturalyte*. Naturalyte insect control products are natural metabolites derived from living organisms. In this case, spinosad is produced by fermentation of naturally occurring bacteria (Saccharpolyspora spinosa).
