The insurance plans available to eligible Dow AgroSciences employees are designed to meet your needs and the needs of your eligible dependents often providing coverage level choices. We also have an Employee Assistance Program which is designed to assist you and/or your dependents with additional personal issues.
Employee Life Insurance
Dow AgroSciences automatically provides you with basic life insurance coverage equal to your annual base salary, at no cost to you. You may purchase additional optional supplemental life insurance coverage for yourself up to eight times your annual base salary.
Spouse and Child Dependent Life Insurance
Various levels of life insurance coverage are also available for your spouse/domestic partner and/or your dependent children. You may waive dependent life insurance.
Voluntary Group Accident (VGA) Insurance
VGA insurance provides benefits in the event of death, loss of limbs or vision as the result of an accident. You may select VGA insurance coverage for yourself, your spouse/domestic partner and/or your dependent children. You may also waive coverage.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
You are automatically eligible to receive a benefit of up to five times your annual base salary if you should accidentally die or become seriously injured while on company-approved business travel. The maximum benefit is $2 million. There is no cost to you for this coverage.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program at Dow AgroSciences provides professional, confidential counseling for all employees and their family members for a variety of problems including: stress, depression, relationship issues, workplace issues and substance abuse. EAP professional counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost to the employee. All U.S. active Dow AgroSciences employees and their family members are eligible to access these services.
LifeCare® Life Events Management Service
LifeCare® has been selected by the Company to provide comprehensive work and life information and referrals to Dow AgroSciences employees and family members whose primary residence is the same as the employee, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. LifeCare offers the valuable and timely knowledge you need to manage your daily life — from prenatal information to adult care…from summer camps to child care services…from pet care to health and wellness…from legal referrals to financial counseling services, and much more. You’ll also find LifeMartSM discounts on shopping, entertainment, travel, financial services, health and wellness, and more.
