Conserve™ Plus

conserve_plus
Conserve Plus is the latest addition to the Conserve family. It is a novel formulation, combining Spinosad and S-methoprene at 100 gm ai per L. Conserve Plus will be able to be used on all cereal grains, including malt barley.

Profile

Active ingredient: 100 g/L Spinosad + 100 g/L S-methoprene

Uses: All cereal grains including maize, malting barley and rice

NOT TO BE USED: On Pesticide Residue Free (PRF) grain, oilseeds or pulses

Packaging: 500 mL (treats 50 T) and 5 L (treats 500 T)

Crops

  • Conserve Plus is registered for use on all cereal grains, including, maize, malting barley and rice.
  • Conserve Plus should NOT be applied to any cereal grain to be sold into markets designated Pesticide Residue Free (PRF). Durum wheat is assumed to have a PRF delivery requirement, as it is regularly sold into European markets, which have low MRLs for grain protectant compounds.
  • Oilseeds and pulses (and the processed fractions of these commodities) must not be treated with Conserve Plus as MRLs have not been established for these commodities.

Target Pests

Conserve Plus controls four out of five stored grain pests, incuding resistant strains of:

  • Lesser grain borer (Rhyzopertha dominica)
  • Rust-red flour beetle (Tribolium castaneum)
  • Saw-toothed grain beetle (Oryzaephilus spp.)
  • Flat grain beetle (Cryptolestes spp.)
Rice weevil (Sitophilus oryzae) is not controlled by Conserve Plus. It is therefore essential to add an organophosate (OP) grain protectant to ensure complete insect control. Reldan™ Grain Protector will be the product of choice in most circumstances. When used on malt barley and maize, fenitrothion is the only OP mixing partner approved for use. 2
