Rajan Gajaria is Global Leader, Dow AgroSciences Latin America and North America regions, a position he assumed in May 2014. From September 2012 through April 2014, Gajaria served as Global Leader for the company’s Latin America and Asia Pacific geographies.
Gajaria joined Dow AgroSciences’ Indian joint venture partner in 1993. After holding marketing and finance roles in Mumbai, he was named the Human Resources Leader. In this role, he was instrumental in developing the joint venture organizational structure, policies and people management work processes. In 1999, Gajaria moved to the company’s global headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he ascended through several leadership roles in corporate strategy, marketing, e business and Six Sigma. In 2007, he was named Global Supply Chain Director for Dow AgroSciences, and in 2009 he was appointed Marketing Director for the company’s U.S. Regional Commercial Unit.
Gajaria is a member of the Dow AgroSciences Corporate Management Committee (CMC) and the CMC executive sponsor of the Women’s Innovation Network (WIN). He is currently the Chairperson for North America and Dow Chemical for the Asian Diversity Network, of which he was the founding member. He was past chairman of the International Center of Indiana, a not-for-profit aiming to be a catalyst for a global Indiana. Gajaria holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Bombay in Mumbai, India, and a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow, India. He is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and he has successfully completed the Executive Development Program at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
