Ramiro De La Cruz
Ramiro De La Cruz is Global Leader, Dow AgroSciences Crop Protection Global Business Unit, a position he assumed in May 2014. Prior to this role, he served as Brazil Regional Commercial Unit Leader.
De La Cruz joined Dow AgroSciences in Colombia in 1988 as a Technical Service and Development Representative. In 1993, he was named Research and Development (R&D) Leader for the company’s Andean countries. He relocated to the company’s global headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1997, where he held roles in both Human Resources and Six Sigma, and eventually as Global Project Success Leader for the company’s penoxsulam herbicide active ingredient. In 2001, he was named Global Business Leader for Rice, later serving a similar role for the company’s growth insecticides portfolio. Before being named Brazil Regional Commercial Unit Leader in 2011, he served in a similar capacity for the company’s Mesoandean countries.
De La Cruz is an active member of industry association CropLife International and serves on the Board of Directors for The International Center. He holds a degree in agronomical engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a master’s degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
