Seeds & Traits Pipeline

Dow AgroSciences entered the field of agricultural biotechnology in 1996 with the purchase of a majority interest in Mycogen Corp. and its United Agriseeds subsidiary. Since then, our accomplishments have included:

  • eliminating more than 2.5 billion pounds of bad fats from the North American diet through the introduction of our Nexera® canola seeds and the resulting [Omega-9 Oils]; and
  • creating [EXZACT™ Precision Technology], a cutting-edge, versatile and robust toolkit for genome modification in plants.
  • HX traits are the most widely planted corn traits in the industry

Our R&D pipeline is both robust and diverse, with new seed varieties and traits that improve plant health and resiliency, while helping to battle increasing insect and weed resistance to crop protection products.
