Sugar Beets

By reducing the root system’s ability to uptake water and nutrients from the soil, nematodes cause poor growth, low yield, deficiency symptoms, a poor root system and reduced tonnage of the crop.

Sugar beet cyst, root-knot and stubby-root nematodes are among the most destructive pests affecting sugar beets, and can cause severe yield reductions. In addition, Telone II reduces the activity of Polymyxa beta, which has been identified as the vector of the Rhizomania disease virus.

While crop rotation is  important, rotations are generally not long enough to alleviate pressure from nematodes. Telone® II soil fumigant is the best way to protect crops from these damaging pests.
