Herbicide Resistance Management
Dow AgroSciences promotes and recommends implementation of herbicide resistance management practices to minimize the potential for the development of herbicide resistant weeds. The stewardship program focuses on appropriate education and recommendations, management practices, and responding to weed control inquiries.
To minimize selection for herbicide-resistant weed populations, Dow AgroSciences promotes a diversified weed management program, which may include use of multiple herbicides with different modes of action and overlapping weed spectrum in combination with other practices such as tillage operations and/or other cultural practices.
These same herbicide resistant management practices are also promoted and recommended with the use of herbicide tolerant traits – such as those in our family of Enlist™ corn, soybeans and cotton, provide tolerance to a new 2,4-D and glyphosate, while Enlist E3™ soybeans combine tolerance to a new 2,4-D, glyphosate and glufosinate in a single gene insertion.
