Closer® SC Insecticide

Closer® SC insecticide provides an excellent combination of speed and residual efficacy on sap-feeding insects across many crop segments, including fruiting vegetables, cole crops, leafy vegetables, stone fruit, tree fruit, nut and vine.

Closer includes Isoclast® Active which is a new insecticide developed by Dow AgroSciences that belongs to a new chemical class of insecticides called the sulfoximines. Closer with Isoclast active provides the following benefits:

  • Effective at low use rates
  • Fast-acting with residual control
  • Moves throughout the plant to better control pests
  • Effective against insect pest populations resistant to other insecticides
  • Valuable rotation partner with other insecticides
Benefits
  • Combined speed and effectiveness is unmatched by any other insecticide available today
  • Provides best-in-class control of aphids
  • Broad-spectrum insecticide available for control of sap-feeding pests, including aphids, scales and whiteflies
  • Controls pests that are resistant to current insecticides
  • Offers greater protection against key pests through both systemic and translaminar activity
  • First of a novel new class of chemistry – the sulfoximines – discovered by Dow AgroSciences
  • Designated by the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) Mode of Action Working Group as the sole member of a new subgroup, 4C
  • Excellent residual control
  • Favorable environmental profile with a 12-hour re-entry interval (REI) and short preharvest interval (PHI), including a one-day PHI in citrus, a one to three-day PHI in vegetables and a seven-day PHI in pome fruit, tree fruit and tree nuts
  • Minimal impact on beneficial insects
  • Comes in a convenient suspension concentrate (SC) formulation, making it easy to mix and use
