Safe Use Precautions
Below is a list of precautions you should take when using pesticides:

Do not transport pesticides along with food or animal feed. |
|
|
Store pesticides under lock and key, out of children's reach. |
|
|
Carefully read the instructions given on labels, containers and in the leaflets before using any pesticide. |
|
|
Do not mix pesticide solution with bare hands. Use a paddle or stick when preparing the spray solution. |
|
|
Use a funnel to fill spray tanks. This will prevent the spray solution from splashing on body parts. |
|
|
Always spray in the direction of wind during morning or evening hours. |
|
|
Use recommended safety clothing or cover your mouth with clean piece of cloth, wear full sleeve shirt and pants while spraying. |
|
|
Clean blocked nozzles with a thin needle. |
|
|
Do not attempt to repair faulty sprayers yourself. Consult a mechanic. |
|
|
Do not smoke or chew tobacco while spraying. |
|
|
Destroy containers after use and bury away from water source. |
|
|
After spraying, remove contaminated clothing. Be sure to wash clothing as well as yourself with soap and water. |
|
|
Keep leaky containers in a separate corner. Cover spilled area with sand or sawdust, scrape it and dump the sand /sawdust in a pit away from source of water. Dispose off expired material carefully by burning. |

|
In case of accidental poisoning, seek medical attention immediately. Bring the pesticide container or leaflet with you. |
