New Accord^® XRT Herbicide Has Built-in Surfactant, More Glyphosate

Dow AgroSciences introduces Accord^® XRT herbicide to provide you with the most innovative and intelligent vegetation management solutions. The premium concentrated glyphosate formulation is designed to meet the distinct needs of vegetation managers across the country.

The new, more concentrated formulation of Accord XRT contains 5.4 pounds of active ingredient, resulting in less handling and lower use rates, and the convenience of more treated acres per gallon as compared to 4-pound active ingredient formulations. It also means you will have less inventory to manage.

The complete formulation of Accord XRT eliminates surfactant worries and hassles. No surfactant to add means fewer containers to handle and dispose. It also reduces the chance for measuring and mixing errors.

Accord^® XRT herbicide is available through Continuum™ Prescription Control & Container Management System, which enables end-users to acquire products in returnable, refillable containers that eliminate rinsing and disposal - all while decreasing the need for onsite mixing and helping reduce worker exposure.

In addition, Accord XRT offers all the benefits of the original formulation, providing superior control of annual and perennial weeds and woody plants in forests and utility rights-of-way. The herbicide penetrates fast and rapidly moves throughout the plant, inhibiting synthesis of amino acids It disrupts protein production as roots and shoots are controlled, eliminating resprouts. The non-selective broad spectrum herbicide offers long-term control of the toughest vegetation, including:

• Hardwoods, such as oak, black gum, elm, cherry, hickory, poplar, dogwood and persimmon
• Briars and vines
• A wide variety of herbaceous weeds, perennial grasses and broadleaves

Geared for site preparation and mid-rotation, Accord XRT penetrates quickly for a fast brownout, which means you can make the most of the limited time you have to burn. If you can't burn, Accord^® XRT achieves great control and allows you to plant pine and hardwood seedlings with minimal competition.
