Creating Biodiversity
Creating biodiversity means controlling unwanted vegetation while improving an area's wildlife and plant habitat – a key goal of many vegetation- and land-management professionals. This is becoming even more important in an age of environmental stewardship. Herbicides can help lay the groundwork for an effective biodiversity program.
Selective herbicides promote a grass, herb and fern ground cover that not only discourages woody plant infestations, but also improves wildlife habitat. This isn't just opinion. It’s backed by 50-plus years of scientific research by Purdue University's Drs. William Bramble and William Byrnes (professors emeritus) at State Game Lands 33 in Pennsylvania. Dow AgroSciences is proud to be a cooperator in the Bramble and Byrnes project.
