How Does it Work?
The Brown Brush Monitor™ combines herbicide applications and mowing into a one-pass treatment method. The combination mower’s unique design separates the tasks of mowing and applying herbicides into two specialized chambers.
In the first chamber, the durable blades cut brush stems 2 to 3 inches in diameter or sapling trees up to three years old, depending on species. The mowed debris is removed from the mower deck through a side door, allowing the second chamber – the herbicide chamber – to treat the remaining cut stubble.
In the enclosed herbicide chamber, products such as
Garlon®,
Tordon® and
Transline® herbicides are sprayed directly onto the stubble. Then, the system catches any unabsorbed herbicides in a "reservoir" made up of a series of scrapers, brushes and chains, which wipe the herbicides onto the stubble in the second application stage.
For added convenience, the Brown Brush Monitor includes a hand-held spray gun with 25 feet of hose for foliar applications to fences, structures or other areas that can’t be mowed.
