Mycogen Seeds has named Art Graves as a District Agronomist for the company's Northeast District of the United States.

In this position, Graves is responsible for supporting five sales representatives and dealers in Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the New England states. His product coverage area consists of corn, alfalfa, soybeans and Silage-Specific™ corn hybrids. Graves also will be active in helping growers with traits, including Herculex^® RW Rootworm Protection, Herculex XTRA Insect Protection and LibertyLink®.

"Graves is a great fit for our Agronomy Services Team," says Stephen Smith, Agronomy Services Manager, Mycogen Seeds. "His past experiences within the industry make him an asset for not only Mycogen Seeds dealers and sales reps, but also growers."

Prior to this new role, Graves was an assistant professor of agronomy at SUNY Cobleskill college, Cobleskill, N.Y. Graves holds a master's degree in plant pathology from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va., and a bachelor's degree in agronomy from SUNY Cobleskill. Graves also sold Mycogen Seeds products as a sales representative during the mid-1990s. Although a native of Skaneateles, N.Y., Graves will be based out of Warnerville, N.Y.
