Innovation & Stewardship

We have a rich and successful history of discovering and providing innovative solutions that are effective and responsible. In the past two years alone, we have introduced ten new products, chemistries or technologies.

We take this work – and its stewardship responsibility – seriously.  Several of our products have been awarded the Green Chemistry Award, which is presented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the White House for technologies that incorporate the principles of green chemistry into chemical design, manufacture and use. We are the only company to be honored with this award on three different occasions.    

We also have earned two U.S. EPA Stratospheric Ozone Protection Awards for the development of fumigation alternatives to methyl bromide.

Our tradition of innovation and dedicated product stewardship also extends into our Plant Biotechnology R&D efforts. We adhere to The Dow Chemical Company Guiding Principles for Biotechnology for all phases of the research and development of Plant Biotechnology products. Our Product Stewardship function helps to ensure proper stewardship for all phases of research.
