Environmental Stewardship Award ProgramStewardship of the land presents each rancher and farmer with different challenges and requires different approaches. But it always demands ingenuity and commitment. The National Cattlemen's Beef Association believes those traits and all that cattlemen accomplish for the environment are worth noting, both for the public and to encourage others in the industry.Established in 1991 by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and co-sponsored by Dow AgroSciences, the program provides an opportunity for the beef industry to acknowledge producers who go the extra mile when it comes to preserving and enhancing the resources on their land. While the program highlights industry stewardship, it also provides cattlemen with examples and ideas that may be useful on their own farms and ranching operations. For more information or nomination forms for the National Environmental Stewardship Award, contact your state beef industry council, state cattlemen’s association or NCBA-affiliated breed association.
