High-Volume Foliar

Best For:

• Controlling light to moderate brush stands (<150 plants per acre)
• Treating small trees, vines, bushes with canes or stems, such as multiflora rose, or low-growing shrubs like buckbrush
• Stopping encroaching weeds and brush around pasture perimeters or scattered across grazing areas
• Clearing brush and/or weeds in fencelines

How-To:

• Always read and follow label directions
• Apply directly to the target plant’s foliage
• Spray plants from both sides until dripping wet
• Complete coverage is critical for success
• Delay treatment until brush is fully leafed out in the spring and actively growing
• Treat when the plant is healthy (not stressed by drought or other conditions)
• To improve herbicide uptake, include 1 quart of surfactant per 100 gallons of spray mix

Herbicide Recommendations:

• Use Remedy® Ultra herbicide alone when woody species are your primary targets (see Tank-Mix Guide below)
• Use Surmount™ hebicide for broad-spectrum control of woody plants and broadleaf weeds, such as in fencelines or around buildings. Or, tank-mix Remedy Ultra with Grazon® P+D herbicide (see Tank-Mix Guide below)
• Use Grazon P+D alone when multiflora rose, locust or pricklypear is your primary target
• Use Reclaim® herbicide alone, or tank-mix with Remedy Ultra or Tordon® 22K herbicide when mesquite is your primary target. See the mesquite section in Weed/Brush Identification for specific recommendations.
