Cattlemen to Cattlemen Producer-education Segments

Dow AgroSciences has partnered with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association to sponsor NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen, airing weekly on RFD-TV. Our Producer-education segments aim to bring pasture improvement to life by sharing the motivations and methodologies that can lead to better grazing, enhanced land management and profitability.

It's a New Age for Forage

  • The current situation of high corn prices and low cattle numbers is historic. It's not business as usual.
  • Higher corn prices raise the value of forage. It becomes cheaper to put cattle gains on grass rather than in the feedlot.
  • As the value of forage has increased, the value of forage management has increased.
  • Weed control - which typically yields a pound of grass for every pound of weeds controlled - and sound grazing management can help improve pasture efficiency and utilization, thus helping producers harvest the increased value of grass.

Grow More Grass. It's Worth More!

  • These cattlemen recognize the ever-increasing value of optimizing forage in their operations.
  • Weed control, sound fertility and proper grazing management each contribute to increased forage production and pasture utilization.
  • Implement a pasture improvement program by working with your local retailer or custom applicator to identify problems initiate solutions.
