Absinth Wormwood

    
 
Scientific Name: Artemisia absinthium

Family: Asteraceae

Structure: Woody at the base, up to 5 feet tall under favorable conditions.

Life Cycle: Perennial, regrows from soil level each spring.

Leaves: Light to olive green, 2-5 inches long.

Flowers: Numerous flower heads with many yellow flowers on each.

Treatment:

Application Timing: Apply before wormwood is 12 inches tall. Remove old duff and litter by fire or mowing for best results.

Recommendation:
6-7 fluid ounces of Milestone® herbicide per acre, or for broader-spectrum weed control, apply 1½-2 pints of ForeFront® R&P herbicide per acre.
