Scientific Name: Convolvulus arvensis

Family: Convolvulaceae

Structure: Vining with smooth stems that grow 2–7 feet long, twining upward on the other plants or growing prostrate on ground.

Life Cycle: Perennial, reproducing by seeds or rootstocks.

Leaves: Dark green, alternate, varying from bell to arrowhead in shape.

Flowers: White or pink, 1 inch, funnel-shaped, with two bracts below flower.

Roots: Extensive, sometimes going down 20–30 feet.

Treatment:

Application Timing: For best results, treat in spring or when weed is actively growing, such as post-harvest after the plant has produced 8–12-inch runners, in mid-to-full bloom. See product specimen label for crop rotation restrictions and chem-fallow program recommendations.

Recommendation:
Spot. 1–2 quarts per acre of Tordon® 22K herbicide.

Broadcast. 1–2 pints per acre of Tordon 22K herbicide tank-mixed with 1 lb of 2,4-D. Lower rates require annual retreatment for several years. See product label for rates in grain fields, fallow and between crops of small grains OR
