Scientific Name: Linaria genistifolia

Structure: Usually 1–2 feet tall, erect, branching stem, light green, smooth and leafy.

Life Cycle: Short-lived perennial, reproduces by seeds or roots.

Leaves: Light green, alternate, broad, heart-shaped, clasping the stem.

Flowers: Snapdragon-type, bright yellow, tinged with orange, up to 1 inch long with long spur.

Roots: Vertical roots may go 6 feet deep; lateral roots may extend 10 feet or more.

Treatment:

Application Timing: Apply when the weeds are actively growing in the spring through full bloom stage. Other times, including during the fall, are effective if plants are actively growing.

Recommendation:
1–2 quarts of Tordon® 22K herbicide plus 1 lb of 2,4-D per acre. May require annual retreatment depending on environmental conditions. Re-apply when control drops below 80 percent.
