Scientific Name: Linaria vlugaris

Family: Scrophulariaceae

Structure: Smooth, erect, often over 3 feet tall, sometimes branched stem.

Life Cycle: Perennial.

Leaves: Long and narrow, numerous, pale green, smooth and pointed, attached directly to the stem.

Flowers: Snapdragon-type, 1–1½ inches long with spur, bright yellow with deep orange center.

Roots: Woody, well branched with many laterals.

Treatment:

Application Timing: Apply when the weeds are actively growing in the spring and before full bloom. Other times are effective when the plants are actively growing.

Recommendation:
2–3 quarts of Tordon® 22K herbicide plus 1 lb active ingredient of 2,4-D per acre.

Remarks:
Lower labeled rates in the rate range require annual retreatment for several years.
