Application Guides
The new Telone Precision System is a closed-system unit that minimizes the number of parts that could potentially malfunction, such as motors and pumps, when growers are applying a fumigant such as Telone II. This system uses compressed nitrogen to push Telone II into the ground and acts similar to an aerosol can, which results in continual pressure flow for consistent and accurate applications.

Dependent upon the situation, as little as 3 gal./A treatment of Telone II in mineral soils will suffice. This will provide highly effective and economical control of nematodes.

Application Guidelines

Temperature Soil temperature at application must be between 40 F and 80 F.
Soil moisture The soil must be moist from 2 inches below the soil surface to at least 12 inches deep. The amount of moisture needed in this zone will vary according to soil type.
Soil preparation Soil should be free of clods. Thoroughly incorporate plant residues. Fracture any compacted soil layers within treatment zone before or during application.
Application Place Telone II at least 12 inches below the final soil surface. When conditions and equipment allow it, deeper placement is recommended.
Fumigation interval Leave the soil undisturbed and unplanted for at least seven days after application. A longer interval is required if the soil becomes cold or wet.
Planting Allow Telone® II soil fumigant to completely dissipate before planting. Do not plant if Telone II is detected with in the treatment zone.

Label
Telone II is a liquid fumigant for preplant treatment of the soil to control plant-parasitic nematodes. It also can help manage certain soil-borne diseases in cotton. After Telone II is injected into the soil, it converts to a gas and creates a zone of protection for the cotton plant's developing roots. Visit the product label for more information.
