Rates
Depending on the situation, apply Telone II as a broadcast treatment at 9 to 12 gallons per acre in mineral soils and 25 gallons per acre in muck or peat soils. These quantities will provide highly effective and economical control of nematodes.
Application Timing
| Temperature |
Soil temperature at application must be between 40 F and 80 F. |
| Soil moisture |
The soil must be moist from 2 inches below the soil surface to at least 12 inches deep. The amount of moisture needed in this zone will vary according to soil type. |
| Soil preparation |
Soil should be free of clods. Thoroughly incorporate plant residues. Fracture any compacted soil layers within treatment zone before or during application. |
| Application |
Place Telone II at least 12 inches below the final soil surface as a broadcast treatment. When conditions and equipment allow it, deeper placement is recommended. |
| Fumigation interval |
Leave the soil undisturbed and unplanted for at least seven days after application of Telone II. A longer interval is required if soil becomes cold or wet. |
| Planting |
Allow Telone® II soil fumigant to completely dissipate before planting. Do not plant if Telone II is detected with in the treatment zone. |

 |
Telone® II soil fumigant is a preplant soil fumigant for control of all major species of nematodes, including root-knot, sting, lesion, stubby root, dagger, ring and cyst nematodes. Telone II is injected into the soil as a liquid and immediately converts to a gas, resulting in a nearly nematode-free zone that allows tomatoes to thrive. As a fumigant, Telone moves throughout the soil profile on its own, rather than requiring water or incorporation for movement. View the product label for more information. |
