Rocky Bayou Country Club
Wayne Phillips, superintendent at Rocky Bayou Country Club in Niceville, Fla., has found a way to alleviate some of the stress of managing a 125-acre golf course – at least when it comes to disease prevention. The goal of his preventive fungicide program is to have the course ready for action each spring with little to no disease damage. A few years ago, Phillips started treating the greens in the fall just prior to turf dormancy with Eagle® 20EW specialty fungicide as a preventive measure. "Since the first application season with Eagle, spring dead spot hasn't been a problem. It provides me with confidence that our course will remain free of spring dead spot and take-all patch," says Phillips. "Now I can devote my time to other needs of the golf course." |
