“We are very proud of our relationships with Suzann, Sean and now Corey, who individually and collectively exemplify the values of the Human Element that are so important to The Dow Chemical Company,” said Patti Temple Rocks, vice president, Global Public Affairs, Brand and Reputation. “Their personal integrity and professional excellence make them outstanding ambassadors for our company and highly credible voices in further enhancing the Dow brand and building even greater competitive advantage for our cutting-edge products in the golf industry.” Widely known to golf fans around the world, Pavin has carved out an impressive record in his 25 years on the PGA TOUR. Since 1984, he has won 27 national and international tour titles, capped by his 1995 victory in the U.S. Open – one of golf’s most prestigious events. He finished in the top 15 at six tournaments in 2008 and anticipates playing in more than 20 PGA TOUR events in 2009. “I am extremely excited for my new association with The Dow Chemical Company,” said Pavin. “Their advancements in science have a great impact on the game of golf; from the golf ball I play, to high-tech fabrics for golf apparel, to the condition of our golf courses. They are a world-class brand and a world-class organization and I am delighted to join Sean O’Hair and Suzann Pettersen in representing a company that is so committed to making golf better — and even more so, making the quality of our lives better -- through their advancements in science.” Pavin has been selected as U.S. team captain for the 38th Ryder Cup, marking his fourth time he will represent his country in the event that takes place at Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, October 1-3, 2010. O’Hair and Pettersen, both of whom have performed impressively in 2009, renewed their sponsorship contracts with Dow this year.
