A. Bermudagrass

Sorry, but that’s incorrect. The weed pictured here is large or hairy crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis). Crabgrass is a bunch-type grass identified with seedhead spikelets in two to nine fingerlike branches along the stalk. This light-green plant has zig-zag type nodes and germinates when soil temperatures reach a consistent 55 F. The leaves of this grass are rolled in the bud, and the collar is broad with long hairs.

Use Dimension® specialty herbicide for season-long pre- and early postemergence control of crabgrass. For maximum control, apply when soil temperatures reach 55 F in the spring. Consult the appropriate product label for recommended rates for your area.
