Why Control Weeds In New Sown Leys?
- Weeds compete with grass for nutrients and light throughout the life of the crop
- With new leys, it is vital to get the crop away to a good start, bringing it into effective economic production as quickly as possible
- The quicker and better a new sward is established, the longer the economic life of the crop

The weeds must be actively growing.
