Weed control in spring cerealsFor spring cereal growers, Spitfire* gives top control of a wide range of weeds that threaten yield and quality – including polygonums and cleavers. Spitfire is a unique blend of two proven ingredients – fluroxypyr and florasulam. The twin active ingredients make it an ideal product as part of a weed control strategy to fight the onset of resistance. No resistance to fluroxypyr has been detected in chickweed and the resistance profile of florasulam is different to that of the SU herbicides. It also offers a simple and practical solution throughout the season. Even in early spring, when fluctuating day-night temperatures can reduce efficacy, Spitfire will deliver effective control of actively growing weeds that threaten yields, particularly cleavers, mayweeds and poppies. As the season progresses, Spitfire offers just as effective control of a wide range of broad-leaved weeds to protect against yield loss and the build-up of weed populations. Spitfire can be tank-mixed with a wide range of other herbicides to give extended control of specific weeds. Click here for more infomation.
