Help with insect identification at Cereals 2008

UK - May 27, 2008

Dow AgroSciences’ Pest and Beneficials Clinic at Cereals 2008 will help growers identify both the insects that threaten their crops and those that are beneficial.

“Correct ‘bug’ identification is a vital first step in managing pests and beneficial invertebrates,” explains John Fraser, Dow AgroSciences Principal Biologist. “Most invertebrates can be classed as ‘beneficial’, so to develop populations of natural predators and to protect biodiversity it is important to correctly identify the pests present in a crop.”

To get your ‘pest’ identified, bring fresh samples (no more than 48 hours old) in a labelled (name and address) container to the Pest and Beneficials Clinic on the Dow AgroSciences stand (444).
