Dow AgroSciences prepares for the Spitfire family to take offUK - October 23, 2009 With new products in the pipeline to tackle broad-leaved weeds in cereal crops, Dow AgroSciences is developing the Spitfire range for products containing florasulam. The first member of the Spitfire family will be the company’s herbicides Boxer and Barton, which contains florasulam alone. “As our range of products and unique chemistry for tackling cleavers and other headache weeds expands, we believe we need an over-arching brand that helps farmers and advisers understand how the Dow AgroSciences can help in a range of challenges depending on weed growth and season,” said James Knight, marketing specialist for the Spitfire range of products. The company aims to be announcing further additions to the Spitfire range during the coming year, subject to approval by the regulatory authorities.
