iPad win for Nottinghamshire AgronomistUK - November 10, 2010 Nottinghamshire agronomist, Laurence Brown from Newark, is the proud owner of a brand new iPad, having won a competition run by Dow AgroSciences promoting its new herbicide Broadway Sunrise. Laurence has been an agronomist for 37 years, and has worked for his current company Cropwise for the last 16. He advises a wide range of mixed and arable farmers across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Laurence was delighted to receive his iPad from Dow AgroScience’s Regional Business Manager Toby Robeson. He said: “I have never won anything of any significance in the past, so this was a real surprise. Given the wide range of crops and grassland that I provide advice on, I use a lot of Dow AgroSciences’ products. The launch of Broadway Sunrise this autumn provides an excellent addition to the ‘agronomist’s toolbox’, and I will be discussing its use with a number of my clients.” Broadway Sunrise is a new ‘cross-spectrum’ herbicide which has just become available. With both contact and residual activity it controls the widest range yet of grass and broadleaved weeds in winter wheat providing lasting control of troublesome weeds and helping to manage weed resistance. It is tailored to the needs of UK agriculture and contains Dow AgroSciences’ award-winning molecule pyroxsulam - which has already proved so successful in Broadway Star - together with pendimethalin. |
