Web-based agronomy training for Fazor

UK - July 24, 2008

Dow AgroSciences are inviting potato advisors and growers to use the updated web-based training module on Fazor to help them improve their understanding of this product and also to earn CPD BASIS points.  The module is on-line at http://www.fazor.co.uk.

"Dow AgroSciences was one of the first agricultural companies to embrace web-based technology for training purposes.  We acknowledge the web as an important information provider and we see it as being a key way of getting practical information on our products to users.  This web-based system has been updated and improved, but retains the basic information on the problems that this product controls, on what the product is, on how it works and how to get the best from it.  Those completing the Fazor module will be entitled to one CPD BASIS point," says John Sellars, Marketing Specialist for Dow AgroSciences.

"Fazor is the only in-potato field solution for the control of volunteer potatoes, which are a source of blight, viruses and potato cyst nematodes.  Applied at the right time and under the right conditions, data shows that Fazor gives 75% control or more of potato volunteers in following crops.  It also inhibits sprouting in store and can be used in an integrated programme with CIPC.  In order to optimize the performance of Fazor, there are a number of criteria that need to be met and the updated web-enabled training module ensures that advisors and users of Fazor understand how it works and how they can get the best from it."
