TIMBREL* Regulatory Position Update - Amended November 2012

Rhododendron

Without doubt the regulatory status of TIMBREL has caused a lot of confusion throughout the UK, and we can really understand why.  It is a full time job for ourselves to keep abreast of this highly unusual situation.  The bottom line is that Dow AgroSciences are not responsible for the final registration date of TIMBREL – and all we can do is constantly communicate the latest regulatory position.

The background to this situation is that we should have lost the registration for TIMBREL back in May 2011, but due to continuous discussions with CRD (Chemicals Regulations Directorate) we have managed to keep the registration going for longer.  This has allowed many end users to continue to use TIMBREL against a wide range of difficult and pernicious weeds such as bramble, buddleia and rhododendron.

The idea behind this webpage is to keep you up-to-date with the latest knowledge that we have on the regulatory status of TIMBREL, and so to try and help you plan your sourcing and application of TIMBREL.

Please note that the timelines below can change at any time, and all indications given below are based on our best current knowledge from discussions with CRD.

Registration of TIMBREL – expected to continue until end of December 2012**

Sales of TIMBREL through the trade - expected to continue until end of June 2013**

Final use up date for any stocks with end users - expected to continue until end of June 2014**

These dates also apply to all of the parallel import registrations of the TIMBREL formulation.

** dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of the UK CRD
