What are the required soil conditions for application of Telone* II?

To facilitate sealing and uniform fumigant penetration, plough crop remains in to the soil sufficiently in advance, so they are decomposed before treatment. Soil should be in good workable and friable condition, warm, at least 5°C, with adequate moisture for good seed germination. Deep tillage, at least 30cm, improves results. Treat loams and clay loams when relatively dry (when water content is one half of field capacity). Do not use on extremely heavy clay soil or on soil containing a high proportion of large stones.

I have used Fazor~ on my potatoes. When should I check my store for the first signs of sprouting?

The length of suppression of sprouting achieved in a given season is a function of several factors including variety, growing conditions, application conditions, application accuracy, length of storage period and conditions during storage. Potato stores should be regularly monitored.  Usually the first signs of sprouting may occur towards the end of November onwards.

Can Fazor~ be used on crops other than potatoes?

Specific Off-Label Approval (SOLA) number 20081326 allows the use of Fazor on carrots and parsnips.

Users of agricultural pesticides may apply to have the approval of specific pesticides extended to cover uses additional to those approved and shown on the naufacturer's product label.  Any such specific off-label approvals granted may have additional conditions of use attached to them.  Use in these cases is undertaken at the user's choosing, and the commercial risk is entirely theirs.  Users are required to be in possession of the relevant notice of approval.  Electonic copies of off-label approvals can be obtained from the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) website SOLA database.
