 Advantages

Combat a Wide Range of Broad-leaved Weeds

For use in both autumn and spring, Spitfire* will help combat a wide range of broad-leaved weeds in cereal crops. Suitable for use throughout the season it will protect against yield loss and prevent the build up of weed populations from GS13 right up to GS39 (GS45 in winter crops). Outstanding against cleavers, Spitfire also controls other key weeds, including volunteer beans and rape.

Based on a unique combination of tried and trusted florasulam and fluroxypyr, Spitfire keeps on working whether it’s cool, warm or when diurnal temperatures are fluctuating. Spitfire also helps fight the threat of herbicide resistance thanks to its two proven ingredients – florasulam and fluroxypyr - with different mode of actions.

If volunteer beans are a problem in the autumn, take them out with Spitfire. Click here for more information on volunteer bean control.

For spring cereal growers, Spitfire gives top control of a wide range of weeds that threaten yield and quality – including polygonums and cleavers. The spectrum can be extended by adding CMPP to extend control of hemp nettle, mayweeds, chickweed, black bindweed and fumitory. While using Spitfire with HBN will also control brassicas, speedwells, fumitory, mayweeds and black bindweed. Whether 1-1.25L/ha of CMPP, or 0.75-1.0L/ha of HBN, is added to 0.75L/ha Spitfire, costs will be little more than standard weed control treatments for spring cereals.
