In growers' fields for the first time this year, SmartStax™ offers the broadest spectrum of insect control available with multiple modes of action, allowing growers to reduce their refuge from 20 percent to 5 percent.1 SmartStax is available in the latest genetics from all Dow AgroSciences seed brands.

In addition, Dow AgroSciences scientists will be on-hand at the exhibit to answer questions and explain how multiple modes of action are beneficial for insect resistance management.

Surestart™

New Instinct™ nitrogen stabilizer optimizes the yield potential of corn by ensuring nitrogen is available in the root zone during key stages of corn growth. It's approved for use with liquid nitrogen or manure.

Experts from Dow AgroSciences will be demonstrating the effect of stabilized nitrogen in simulated soil displays, and will be available to answer questions about utilizing Instinct and N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizers in an operation.

New herbicide tolerant trait technology for corn and soybeans will offer superior weed control by partnering with and improving leading weed control systems.

Stress-tolerant corn from Dow AgroSciences will improve nitrogen-use efficiency and offer drought tolerance.

Sulfoxaflor is a novel insecticide from Dow AgroSciences that features an innovative class of chemistries known as the sulfoximines. It provides control of a wide-range of sap-feeding insects like soybean aphids. Federal registration of sulfoxaflor is anticipated from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2012.

The new Dow AgroSciences Refuge-in-the-Bag Concept will be a convenient, simple solution to guarantee refuge compliance. A convenient single-bag solution with no separate refuge required, Dow AgroSciences Refuge-in-the-Bag Concept will simplify refuge compliance. Pending U.S. EPA registration, the company anticipates a full commercial launch in 2012.
