Sonalan® HFP herbicide  

Active Ingredient: ethalfluralin

Profile: Sonalan® HFP herbicide is a broad-spectrum, foundation herbicide that provides cost-effective control of some of the toughest annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in a variety of crops.


Features

Labeled Crops:
Canola, crambe, dry beans, dry peas, peanuts, safflower, soybeans and sunflowers

Application Timing:
Preplant, incorporated

Spring apply up to three weeks before planting, fall apply after October 10

Fall application:
When applied with dry bulk fertilizer, Sonalan HFP may be applied and incorporated in the fall prior to a spring planting of dry beans or sunflowers. Apply Sonalan HFP with dry bulk fertilizer anytime between October 1 and December 31 at the recommended rates. Fall application of Sonalan HFP is not recommended on fields which remain wet or are subject to flooding.

Application Rates:
1.5 to 4.5 pints per acre

Grasses:
Annual bluegrass, broadleaf signalgrass, buffalograss, Colorado grass, fall panicum, foxtail millet, green foxtail, Italian ryegrass, Johnsongrass, junglerice, pigeongrass, small crabgrass, Texas panicum, yellow foxtail, witchgrass and woolly cupgrass.

Broadleaf Weeds:
Carpetweed, conical catchfly, common chickweed, fiddleneck tarweed, Florida pusley, henbit, prostrate pigweed, redmaids rockpurslane, redroot pigweed, smooth pigweed, tumble pigweed and wild buckwheat.
