Active Ingredient: mancozeb, a coordination product of zinc ion and manganese ethylene bisdithiocarbamate
Profile:
Dithane® F-45 Rainshield® fungicide is a high quality more than 30 vegetable, fruit, field, vine and specialty crops. The product provides broad spectrum activity with no resistance problems. Lab tests show that this improved formulation offers more rainfast disease control compared to the previous Dithane F-45 formulation as well as competing fungicides. Used for outdoor and greenhouse-grown crops.

Application Timing:
Applications are often made on 7 to 10 day schedules. On some crops such as apples, Dithane F-45 is used in a preventive program throughout the season with sprays beginning prebloom. Preventive programs are also initiated early on crops such as tomatoes (when seedlings emerge or after transplanting), potatoes (when plants are 4 to 6 inches high) and watermelons (when plants are in 2 leaf stage).
