The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency accepted an expanded label for DITHANE F-45 that allows vegetable growers to use the fungicide for control of downy mildew in head and leaf lettuce, and anthracnose, early blight and phomopsis blight in peppers. “Lettuce and pepper growers are in an ongoing battle with damaging diseases,” says Adriana Ratterman, portfolio marketing leader for fungicides for Dow AgroSciences. “The availability of DITHANE F-45 provides them with an effective control option they can depend on.” With Rainshield Technology, a unique combination of surfactants and wetting agents built into the liquid flowable formulation, Dithane F-45 offers exceptional rainfastness, redistribution qualities and plant adhesion.
