"SureStart fits well as the first application in a two-pass weed control program in Roundup Ready corn. You can use it as a preemerge herbicide and it doesn’t need as much moisture to start working as some other herbicides.
"SureStart has enough acetochlor in it to do a good job on weeds. We can definitely tell the difference where we use SureStart. If you’re not controlling the weeds, you’ve lost all that fertilizer and all that yield — that adds up to a lot when it’s $4 corn.
"SureStart gives you a lot of product and control for the money. It’s also got an easy use rate — just load the sprayer and go. Of all the products that have come out for early-season weed control in Roundup Ready corn, SureStart is the best one by far."

"I tried SureStart because I like the idea of using a herbicide that's designed to go out early in Roundup Ready corn and give me time to come back with Roundup. I have 38-inch rows and SureStart gives me more time to spray Roundup in a situation where the corn won't canopy as quickly. I also like that SureStart uses different modes of action to kill weeds so I don't get the resistance issue.
"SureStart is a cost-effective option. We're getting a better price for corn, but input costs have doubled or tripled; so I need a way to keep my costs under control and still maintain clean fields, because you get the most production from clean fields.
"SureStart is as good as or better than anything I've used in the past. I would gladly recommend it. It's cost-effective, doesn't harm the crop in any way and it gave me a clean field of corn when I ran the combine through in the fall."
