"I used SureStart on the co-op's hybrid showcase plot to clean up velvetleaf. Our hybrid plot obviously needs to look great to help us show and sell hybrids and SureStart did a great job controlling the weed pressure in the plot.
"I also tried SureStart on 25 acres that the grower normally only treats with two postemergence applications of glyphosate. SureStart's application flexibility allowed us to tank-mix it with glyphosate for the first postemergence spray. The acres treated with SureStart were so clean the grower didn't need to make a second glyphosate application.
"There also were obvious differences in crop health between the acres treated with SureStart and the acres treated with glyphosate only. Corn treated with SureStart gained one leaf of growth early on, grew taller and showed massive cob growth — it was definitely noticeable from the road and resulted in about a 10 bushel per acre yield bump at harvest."

"I compared SureStart to some competitive preemerge products on a 140 acre field with ragweed, waterhemp and foxtail pressure. After planting and applying SureStart, timely rains caused increased weed pressure. I noticed right away that SureStart did a better job controlling lambsquarters, waterhemp and ragweeds. Although I applied glyphosate to the entire field at the same time, I could have waited another 10 days to spray the SureStart acres.
"The long residual of SureStart gives you an extra 10 days to two weeks to apply glyphosate so that if you get rained out or winded out, the weeds won't get out of control. The product's flexibility is also nice because it will work as a pre-plant incorporated application and a preemerge application depending on when you can get out to the field."

"SureStart brings different modes of action for weed control in Roundup Ready corn. Glyphosate isn't doing the job like it did in the past, so using a product like SureStart allows me to put out multiple modes of action with only one product in the tank.
"I was impressed by the broadleaf weed control from SureStart. SureStart controlled heavy giant ragweed, waterhemp and grass pressure in an 80 acre field I tried it out on. The corn in the acres that didn't receive a SureStart application was paler and shorter because it was trying to compete with huge giant ragweed for moisture. The corn treated with SureStart looked very healthy because it didn't have any weed pressure to compete with for moisture and nutrients.
"SureStart works really well in the Roundup Ready system. Just go out with SureStart, come back with one shot of glyphosate and you're done."

"We still impregnate a lot of fertilizer here in the spring, and SureStart impregnated very nicely, allowing us to fertilize and control weeds in one pass.
"I impregnated a fertilizer application with SureStart on 40 acres of an 80 acre plot with heavy lambsquarters pressure. I looked at the field a few times after application and I could tell right to the row where the SureStart application had been made — it was a night and day difference in weed control. SureStart works well in this area because it cost-effectively controls lambsquarters and other problem weeds with excellent crop safety."

"SureStart provides enhanced weed control to get the weeds that escape glyphosate. If the weather is bad and you can’t get back in to spray glyphosate right away, SureStart can help hold you over until you are able to apply glyphosate. It also mixes very well with glyphosate if you want to apply both products postemergence."

"I used SureStart on 250 acres of corn in 2008 and it worked great. It was the best, easiest weed control tool we've used in a long time and it worked well even with minimal rainfall after application. I'll be using it again this year."
