Every day, the Turlock Irrigation District (TID) in Turlock, Calif., works to provide agricultural facilities, farms and local communities with clean irrigation water and reliable power. Because California is a water-sensitive state, TID staff has to use herbicides that can be sprayed around water.
The use of herbicides plays a vital role in operations for the Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC). DREMC began a robust herbicide vegetation management program with its first trial in 1999 as part of a larger line clearance initiative.
